Screen lock PIN

The screen lock covers the suite with a PIN box when you step away, so nobody passing your desk can read or act on your work. You unlock it with your six-digit PIN instead of signing in again.

The locked screen. The page behind is hidden until you type your PIN.
  1. PIN boxes. Type your six digits. The suite checks them as soon as the sixth digit is in; there is no button to press.
  2. Sign out and use password. Signs you out so you can sign in again with your password. Use it if you have forgotten your PIN.

When the screen locks

Right after you sign in with your password, the screen is not locked: you have just proved who you are.

The account menu, opened from your initials at the top right.
  1. Profile. Your details and settings, including your PIN and auto-lock.
  2. Theme. Light, dark, or follow your device.
  3. Lock screen. Locks the screen now. Do this every time you leave your desk. It appears once you have a PIN.
  4. Sign out. Ends your session on this browser.

Where the manual is linked to the suite, the menu also has Help & user manual, which opens this manual.

Locked is not signed out. The lock hides the screen, but you are still signed in. On a shared or public computer, always Sign out when you finish.

Unlock the screen

  1. Type your six-digit PIN in the boxes. The screen unlocks and you carry on where you left off. Nothing you were typing is lost.
  2. If you see “That PIN is not right.”, the boxes clear. Type it again carefully.

After 5 wrong PINs the boxes stop accepting input and you see “Too many attempts. Sign out and use your password instead.” Select Sign out and use password.

Choose when it locks

Open Profile, then the Security tab, and find the Auto-lock card: “When to lock the screen. Your session stays signed in either way.” Changes save as soon as you make them and follow you to every device.

Profile › Security, scrolled down to Auto-lock.
  1. Auto-lock. The card on the Security tab, below Screen PIN.
  2. Lock after. Choose 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes, or 1 hour, of inactivity.
  3. Lock when I close the tab. On: a new tab or reopened browser starts locked. Off: “a reopened tab stays unlocked until it goes idle.”
  4. Lock now. Locks the screen straight away. It is greyed out until you have a PIN (“Set a PIN first to use the screen lock.”).

Change your PIN

In Profile › Security, the Screen PIN card shows when your PIN was set.

  1. Type your Current PIN.
  2. Type a New PIN and Confirm PIN. Same rules as before: exactly 6 digits, not one digit repeated, not a run like 123456.
  3. Select Change PIN. You see “PIN changed. It works on every browser you sign in to.”

I forgot my PIN

Your password always gets you back in.

  1. On the locked screen, select Sign out and use password.
  2. Sign in with your staff number or email and your password. The screen is not locked after a password sign-in.
  3. Set a new PIN: go to Profile › Security › Screen PIN, select I forgot my PIN - use my password, type your Account password, then a New PIN and Confirm PIN, and select Change PIN.
