Home (Dashboard)
The page you land on after signing in: what is happening today, what is waiting for you, and a quick way into everything else. It shows your own work, never system statistics.
- Where
- Menu › Workspace › Dashboard, or Home. The old address
/dashboardsends you to the same page. - Who
- Everyone who can sign in. The Dashboard is part of the core of the suite: it cannot be switched off and it is always in the menu.
- Permissions
view_dashboard(every standard role has it). Each card on the page also needs the permission for its own area: for example the Unread mail card only appears if you can open Mail. See Dashboard permissions.- A walk-through
- Tour of the home page
- Greeting. Today's date and how many items need you. Nothing to do here; it is a quick summary.
- Ask box. Ask the AI assistant about your work. The suggestions under the box are built from your own counts (for example “Review the 5 approvals waiting on me”). Only shown if you can use the AI Assistant and the assistant service is set up on the server.
- At a glance. Up to six count cards. Select a card to open the full list.
- Activity and Your week. Small bar charts: notifications over the last 14 days, and your events over the next 7 days (Open calendar).
- Needs your attention. Items that cannot move without you, most urgent first, each with a Review or Read link. The coloured bar shows urgency.
- Coming up. Events and meetings you are invited to in the next seven days.
Sections
- At a glance
- Count cards, shown only for areas you can use: Waiting for your approval (opens My Desk), Unread mail, Unread notifications, Your open requests (with approved and rejected in the last 90 days), Documents processing (red if a document failed to process), Overdue invoices, Scheduled payments and Active projects. At most six appear.
- Activity, last 14 days
- How many notifications you received each day. All notifications opens Notifications.
- Your week
- How many events you have on each of the next seven days.
- Your requests
- A bar showing how your requests ended: approved, pending, rejected. All requests opens Requests.
- Happening now
- Your latest notifications, live as they arrive.
- Memos
- The newest memos and circulars addressed to you. All memos opens Memos & Circulars.
- Needs your attention
- Requests and other items at your approval step, requests of yours that were returned, and urgent or high-priority memos you have not opened. An item leaves the list once you have dealt with it.
- Coming up
- The next seven days of your calendar, grouped by day.
On a narrow screen the right-hand column (Needs your attention, Coming up) moves under the rest of the page.
The labels in the menu come from your organisation. This installation calls the approvals area My Desk and memos Memos & Circulars; an administrator can change these words under Settings › Terminology, so your screens may read slightly differently.
Depends on
Nothing: the Dashboard is always on. Cards and sections for modules an administrator has switched off (Settings › Modules) simply do not appear.
How do I…
